WELCOME NOTE
Headteacher’s Welcome
Welcome to our website, whether you are already part of our school community
or just curious to find out about us. Here’s where you’ll find
essentials such as term dates as well as copies of policies (as we update
and upload them!), pupil achievement information and our latest Ofsted report.
At Livingstone, we are proud to say that we are friendly and welcoming
but we also know we’re here to learn. We try to keep to these School
Rules, agreed with pupils and staff:
If you would like to come and see us, we would be delighted to welcome
you.

We aim to provide a safe, secure environment where children of all aptitudes
and abilities are encouraged to embark on a lifelong learning journey. This
is a community of learners: staff, children and parents. We may not always
get it right but we recognize that mistakes are an important part of the process
for all of us. Feedback from parents and visitors tells us that our children
are happy here, that they are eager to learn and that parents are overwhelmingly
pleased with their children’s progress. However, we are not complacent.
We are committed to raising standards for all groups and we constantly challenge
all learners – including teachers – to aim higher.
Every child really does matter in our school and we are proud of our relationships:
staff with children, children with each other and staff with parents and carers.
This is the bedrock of all that we do, from Foundation Stage to Year 6 and
the start of secondary school. We aim to produce happy, self-disciplined,
hard-working children who value themselves and others and who will be an asset
to their community and to the world.
